In a bid to help raise awareness of an important fundraising drive, Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, is calling on residents to take part in a 100k walk from London to Brighton to help raise funds for the country’s leading blind veterans charity.
Blind Veterans UK (formerly St Dunstan’s) is organising a 100k fundraising walk from London to Brighton on 22nd-23rd June and is looking for volunteers – experienced walkers, recreational strollers, or beginners – to take part. For more information and to sign up for the walk, visit www.walk100.org.uk.
Commenting, Mike said: “Blind Veterans UK is a wonderful charity that provides an immensely valuable service to our blind ex-servicemen and women right on our city’s coast. The 100k walk is an excellent opportunity for people get fit, test their endurance and help raise money for a fantastic charity.”
