Following a raft of new measures that have been announced at the Conservative Party Conference, Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has backed the introduction of this important range of legislation that will improve the lives of ordinary people.
A series of new policies have been announced at this year’s Conservative Party Conference, which is being held in Manchester, set to champion the efforts of hardworking people. New measures announced include a freeze on Fuel Duty until 2015 and making long-term unemployed, but fit to work claimants have to work for benefits, as well as bring forward the Help-to-Buy mortgage scheme. Ministers also announced that they will get tougher on crime, crack down on Illegal immigration and tackle the despicable human trafficking gangs. Commenting, Mike said: “The new policies announced over the last few days have been a breath of fresh air. The Conservative Party is unashamedly highlighting the benefits of its current policies for hardworking people across the country and how the recent announcements will build on that solid grounding in order to continue to reform Britain. With so many good policies it is hard simply to focus on one, but I am particularly impressed with the new help to buy scheme, which will help first time buyers get onto the housing ladder.”
