Following the opening of Brighton & Hove’s first secondary Free School in September, Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, is to visit King’s School on Friday 15th November.
Mike is delighted that a much needed secondary school has now opened and looks forward to meeting with students and staff. The new King’s School opened on Wednesday 4th September and is the fourth secondary school to be opened by academy sponsor The Russell Education Trust (RET). For more information on King’s School, visit www.kingsschoolhove.org.uk.
Commenting, Mike said: “I am delighted that King’s School has finally opened its doors to local children. It is never easy finding a new site for a school, but the dedication of parents and the team at the Russell Education Trust has proved worthwhile. There is no doubt that the King’s School Hove will play a big role in the community and I look forward to seeing the school grow in the near future. I wish the Head Teacher, Mr Flavin, the staff and of course the pupils, all the best as they help establish King’s School as a new Brighton & Hove institution.”
