After meeting with the team at the Sackville Medical Centre, Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has called on local NHS officials to resolve stumbling blocks so that the a new joint practice in Central Hove can open.
Mike has written to Geraldine Hoban, Chief Operating Officer for the new Brighton & Hove Clinical Commissioning Group, requesting that capital funding arrangements for the project to convert Holy Trinity Church on Blatchington Road in Hove are completed as soon as possible. The joint practice will combine Sackville Medical Centre and Central Hove Surgery.
Commenting, Mike said: “Residents in Central Hove rightly expect high-quality medical facilities fit for the 21st Century. The plans to convert Holy Trinity Church on Blatchington Road are entirely logical and will be a great new service for those who live in the area. I hope that our local Clinical Commissioning Group will listen to these calls for action and provide detailed time-scales for progress.”
