Mike Weatherley, Intellectual Property Adviser to the Prime Minister and Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, will be welcoming legendary guitar player Slash to Parliament on Monday. Slash will be accompanied by Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators.
The event is part of Rock the House, a competition that was founded by Mike Weatherley MP in 2011 as parliamentary initiative with backing from industry and a host of celebrity patrons. The event champions British creative industries and protects and promotes artists’ Intellectual Property Rights.
Commenting, Mike said: “It is a real honour to welcome one of the greatest guitarists in history to the beautiful Houses of Parliament.. Slash joins an impressive list of musicians whom Rock the House has hosted at the House of Commons over the years. The evening promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event.”
