Mike Weatherley, Hove & Portslade's Prospective MP, is asking residents for their views on the NHS. Mike's survey, which takes just sixty seconds to complete, asks people about their experience when they last visited their GP, what changes they would like to see in the NHS and other questions about topical issues currently in the news.
Mike said: 'David Cameron has given a guarantee that he will cut Labour's financial deficit but will not cut the country's NHS. This is a cast iron commitment and so it is important that the resources devoted to the health service provide the best possible service money can buy. Conservatives will set the NHS free from Ministerial meddling that has seen money diverted from patient care to wasteful bureaucracy. The Conservatives have already published a draft Bill to provide more autonomy and accountability in the NHS and to free its resources and its hard-working, dedicated staff from meddling by bureaucrats in far-off Whitehall.
The Conservatives will also create an independent NHS Board which will allocate the money Parliament votes for the NHS in a fair and transparent way to all areas of the country.
The NHS is literally a lifeline for many and Conservatives want to do our very best so that people feel safe and secure that the care the need will always be there for them.'
