Cllr Ann Norman
Ann’s working career was spent in the Science Department at Roedean Scool and then the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Sussex. She was elected to Brighton Borough Council in 1996 to represent Westdene Ward in what would become in 1997, the newly formed Brighton and Hove Unitary Authority Council; the boundary of Westdene Ward being extended and renamed Withdean Ward.
Ann is currently Chairman of the Audit and Standards Committee on Brighton and Hove City Council; a Trustee of the Brighton Fund; Trustee at the Martlets Hospice; and a Friend of the Keep Archives.
She is married to Ken who is also a councillor for Withdean Ward, and away from politics spends her time with Ken, her friends, two Tibetan Terriers, works with her bonsai and all kinds of gardening. She is also deeply interested in music and dance of all kinds.
