Cllr Ken Norman
Ken was born and has always lived and mostly worked in Brighton. He has been actively involved in politics since 1967 and was first elected to Brighton and Hove City Council at a by-election in April 2002. He is married to Ann who is also a Brighton and Hove Councillor.
Ken was educated at Coombe Road Primary School and the Brighton Secondary Technical School prior to being employed by Sussex University for 35 years concentrating on cryogenic research, mechanical engineering and teaching before taking early retirement in 1997.
Ken is a Brighton and Hove Albion season ticket holder and flies radio controlled model aircraft. He has written three best-selling books about Bonsai growing and enjoys music including classical, pop and jazz. Ken and his wife also have four Tibetan Terriers.
