Mike has attended the Annual General Meeting of the Parliamentary Space Committee in the House of Commons.

The Parliamentary Space Committee is a cross-party group of MPs and Peers, united to raise awareness of the benefits of Britains leading role in space. Mike attended the AGM to discuss plans for the future of Britains space programme and the importance of raising awareness among children. Commenting, Mike said: Britains space programme is an important part of our scientific research and development. On a local level though, the subject of space can be easily incorporated into other subjects at school, such as maths, physics, chemistry and biology, to further inspire students to excel in these areas. It was fascinating to discuss with astronaut Richard Garriott his experience of travelling in space and visiting the International Space Station.
