Stop Green Party Parking and Permit Price Proposals

Attention Letting, Managing Agents, Plumbers, Electricians, Builders, Handyman, Cleaners, Shops, Independent Traders, and Restaurants & Bars owners

Your tradesman and businesses are about to suffer due to Green Party parking and permit price proposals. Did you know the price is going up from £175.00 to £480 per annum for each vehicle? Traders permits are going from £350 to £750 -£800 per annum per van.

For those of you that do not have permits: did you know some of the pay and display machines prices are going up? To park for two hours, currently costing £2.20, is going up to £6 – that’s 170%! This will have a negative impact on your business and your customers.

The high price hike is using businesses and the public and turning them into a cash cow for the council, but the good news is we can stop this!

Traders Need Transport, a pressure group set up by Elliott Raggio, has devised a strategy to bring together businesses and the local community by protesting at the next full council meeting.

They are urging you for your support. You can do so by voting online – over 1,250 signatures are needed.

The next full council meeting is on Thursday 26th January, 4pm, at Hove Town Hall. On behalf of the TNT and our local community Elliott will be presenting a 5 minute deputation. TNT will be holding a protest outside and urge you to join them.

This Saturday members of the TNT will be handing out and delivering leaflets to help spread awareness. Should you wish to help please email Elliott Raggio on Elliott@ontap-group.com.
