Finalists Announced for Mikes Rock the House Competition

Mike is delighted to announce the winners of the 2012 Rock the House competition that he set up to raise the importance of Intellectual Property Rights and copyright protection.

A record 165 MPs made a total of 195 nominations for Solo Artists, Bands, Venues and Under-18s. The finalists were selected last week by a panel of music industry experts. The winners, listed below, played a live set on the House of Commons Terrace on Wednesday 30th May.

Guests at the Parliamentary event included Baroness Wilcox, Under-Secretary of State for BIS (with responsibility for Intellectual Property Rights); Lord Tim Clement-Jones (proposer of the Live Music Bill); along with well-known artists and music industry representatives. A number of patrons of Rock the House, including rock legend Alice Cooper, sent video messages of support. For more information, please see www.rockthehouse2012.com.
