Mike has praised the success of the London 2012 Olympic Games as they officially come to an end with the closing ceremony and handover to Brazil, the host nation for the next Olympics.
The London 2012 Olympic Games will finish on Sunday 12th August, following the closing ceremony which begins at 21:00. The ceremony, which will be another spectacular show with over 4,000 performers, will include a handover of the Olympic Flag to the next host city, Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic Games. Team GB has had an amazing success with their best haul of medals for over 100 years.
Commenting, Mike said: “The London Olympics has been a fantastic display of sporting excellence from around the world, with Team GB really making the nation proud to be British. Rio de Janeiro will have to pull an amazing trick out of the hat to top the most successful Games ever.
