Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has joined the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for an EU Referendum, after he signed a letter, along with 100 other Conservative MPs, to the Prime Minister calling for a referendum on Britains relationship with Europe.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for an EU Referendum was founded by John Baron MP, author of the letter to David Cameron that was co-signed by over 100 of his colleagues. The first meeting of the group will take place on Tuesday 16th October. The secretariat for the APPG is The Peoples Pledge, an independent group which calls for citizens to be given a say on Britains relationship with Europe. For more information, click here.

Commenting, Mike said: The country should have the explicit opportunity to have a say on our relationship with Europe. Along with a large number of my colleagues, we wrote to the Prime Minister to highlight our desire for a referendum as soon as possible. Britain is intertwined with Europe, yet no one under 55 has had an opportunity to express their views on this important matter.
