Irate squatters have dubbed the new law Weatherleys Law following Mikes campaign to introduce the new legislation.

Mike has previously had an Honourable Mention in Total Politics for his work in highlighting Intellectual Property and copyright through his Rock the House competition. This months MP of the Month profile on Mike also notes his popularity with backbench MPs, as well as his general success at lobbying the Government on important issues. The November edition of Total Politics is now available in shops and online at www.totalpolitics.com

Commenting, Mike said: I am absolutely humbled to be recognised by this coveted accolade. To finally see legislation outlawing squatting on the statue books is reward enough, but it is always nice to receive positive mentions about the work that you do on behalf of residents. The hard work isnt over yet though I am now fighting to ensure that squatting is criminalised in commercial properties as well.
