Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has given a special tour around Parliament – including the roof – to a group of children from the Hangleton & Knoll project.
The Hangleton & Knoll Project, which has been running for over 30 years, is an award-winning charity that works in partnership with residents to facilitate positive changes for the whole community and is headed by Chief Executive Jo Martindale. The project works with a large number of community groups and works closely with children in the area. For more information on the Hangleton & Knoll Project, click here.
Commenting, Mike said: “It was an absolute pleasure to give the youth group from the Hangleton & Knoll Project a tour of Parliament. I am always humbled when showing residents the Chamber of the House of Commons or the view from the roof that Palace of Westminster as it reminds me that this is indeed a very special place. The children from the group were really engaging and had a number of important questions and topics that they wanted to discuss.”
