Patcham Ward Councillor and Conservative Group Leader, Cllr. Geoffrey Theobald, has condemned a gang of arsonists who set fire to the sports pavilion at Horsdean Recreation Ground used by Patcham United Football Club. The damage will cost the club in the region of £6,000 to repair.
Cllr. Theobald said: “This is incredibly disappointing news. Patcham United do fantastic work with young people in the local community and it is they who will ultimately suffer from this wanton and selfish act. I very much hope that the Police are able to apprehend those responsible as quickly as possible.”
