Mike Signs Petition to Save Westows Play Centre

Mike at Westows

Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has signed a petition to help save Westows the indoor play centre for children which will be presented to Brighton & Hove City Council.

Westows, which is just off Portland Road in West Hove, is currently leasing its premises but the lease expires in 2015. To fight the closure, a campaign has been launched to help save the childrens play centre, which will be given councillors at Brighton & Hove City Council. Planning proposals for the area include a huge redevelopment of new housing and office space. For more information on Westows and to show your support, visit www.westows.com.

Commenting, Mike said: Westows is a fantastic facility for young children and it would be a great shame if it had to close. Due to the regeneration of the area there is a large degree of uncertainty over its future, so I hope that Brighton & Hove City Council will listen to the staff, parents and children who use Westows.”
