Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, is backing The Argus campaign to raise money that will give a child from Brighton & Hove the chance to run, jump and climb.
On Wednesday 18th December, The Argus launched a campaign to help raise just over Ł50,000 to pay for specialised surgery for local five-year old Oliver Poinsignon. The money will go towards surgery, physiotherapy, equipment and support, which is not available through the NHS. For more on the campaign, click here. To donate online, click here.
Commenting, Mike said: “I was only too happy to support the Argus campaign to help raise money for Oliver. I am sure that every parent would do the most that they can to help their children and Oliver’s parents have so far raised half the money that they need for the surgery, which is a great start. If anyone is looking to support a good cause this Christmas, helping Oliver certainly has my backing.”
