All Saints Theft and Vandalism is a Crime Against Hove

Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has condemned the recent Christmas Day theft and vandalism at All Saints Church in Central Hove.

Mike is furious that callous thieves broke-in to All Saints Church on Christmas Day and left a trail of destruction, breaking precious stained glass windows, stealing money from a collection box and causing damage that will cost more than 10,000 to repair. Mike has arranged to meet with Fr. Phil Ritchie to witness the damage for himself.

All Saints has launched a major appeal to raise money to restore the historic stained glass, which was made worse by the recent break-in and vandalism. As part of the fund raising, All Saints is hosting a Burns Night dinner on Saturday 25th January. Tickets are 25 each and include a three course meal. Commenting, Mike said: It was incredibly sad news to learn that All Saints was broken-in to on Christmas Day. The selfish thieves clearly had no regard for anyone else and have deprived a number of good causes of money after looting a collection box. Quite simply, targeting a historic building like this is a crime against all of Hove.
