Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has reiterated his support for the Conservative-led Government’s plans for Britain’s economy.
Mike regularly meets with constituents who have impressed upon him how important it is for their business to have a stable country to trade in, which is why Mike is committed to help building a stronger, more competitive economy that will secure a better future for Britain.
The main focus of the Conservative-led Government plan is:
- Reducing the deficit
- Cutting income taxes and freezing fuel duty
- Creating more jobs
- Capping welfare and reducing immigration
- Delivering the best schools and skills for young people
Commenting, Mike said: “Re-building the economy is a long and complicated process, but I am pleased that we’re making steady progress in addressing the problems that our country faced. Encouragingly, unemployment continues to fall across the board and inflation has started to drop. The cost of living has been a big issue for many residents, but with lower taxes and wages starting to increase again, things are looking up.”
