Mike Condemns School iPad Thieves

Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has condemned shameless thieves who have stolen 152 iPads, worth 37,000, from Hove Park School.

Hove Park School has pioneered in the use of iPads for teaching in schools. The iPads that were stolen were being stored for new pupils starting in September and the theft has left Headteacher Derek Trimmer sickened that the school would be targeted in this way. Anyone with information should call Sussex Police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting serial 650 of 21/6. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Commenting, Mike said: This theft is absolutely devastating for the staff and students at Hove Park School. I have been incredibly impressed with Hove Parks pioneering use of iPads for teaching and for someone to come along any deny the chance for students starting in September is despicable. I have full confidence that Sussex Police will catch and bring those responsible to justice.
