Speaking in City Chambers tonight, Councillor Tony Janio, highlighted that the £3m overspend, needed to complete the Shelter Hall project, would be taken from the Local Transport Plan over the next two years – but the Labour Administration have failed to identify what will be sacrificed as a consequence.
£3m overspend

Cllr Janio went on to describe the ‘planning fallacy’ that can be used to predict overruns on large projects. He asked why this chaotic Labour Administration wasn’t taking these funding issues seriously. With major projects such as the waterfront and King Alfred scheduled to start, the Labour Group need to get a grip of this now; they simply can’t keep coming back to this committee [PR&G] demanding more money.
