The Grand Hotel

Conservatives across the city are outraged by the Labour-led city council’s failure to take action against the widespread use of hotels to house asylum seekers. This lack of intervention is troubling and raises serious questions about their commitment to local communities.

In contrast, Epping Forest District Council has successfully secured a temporary injunction from the High Court, preventing the use of a local hotel for asylum accommodation on planning grounds.

In response to this ruling, Kemi Badenoch has urged other Conservative councils to consider similar legal challenges, emphasising the need to protect community interests.
