Andrew’s last career was in investment management, most recently with Barclays Global Investors. After retirement Andrew moved to Hove and into full time public life.
He was previously Opposition Spokesman for Children & Young People 2011-2015.
He is presently a Trustee of Impact Initiatives, a community charity, and a Governor of St Andrew’s CE Primary School.
Andrew rates his outstanding political achievements as moving the plight of disadvantaged children’s education up the agenda; constructive engagement as a Councillor and supporting the recognition of the value of the voluntary sector as a vital part of service delivery in the City.
His vision for the City is that the gap between the educational performance of disadvantaged and not disadvantaged children closes, and becomes zero as soon as possible, and he vows to constantly challenge the authority and schools until this happens.
