    Surgeries are held on the 2nd Friday of each month, 4-5pm Patcham Library, Ladies Mile Road, and on the 4th Friday of every month, 6 -7pm, at the Old Boat Corner Community Association, Carden Hill. Regular newsletters are also published

    Geoffrey is a retired Chartered Surveyor who has devoted much of his life to service in Local Government. Past major positions on the Council include former Mayor of Brighton, Leader of East Sussex County Council, Environment Cabinet Minister at Brighton and Hove City Council and Chairman of Local Authority Coordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS).

    Geoffrey is a Governor at Patcham High School. He was born and bred in Brighton. His wife Carol is also a Councillor in Patcham. They have four children and six grandchildren. He is a Life Member of Sussex County Cricket Club and a member of the MCC.

    Geoffrey lists his outstanding political achievements as leading the East Sussex County Council with a majority of three, persuading the Labour Government to build the Culfail Tunnel at Lewes, transforming LACORS, the regulatory body for local government throughout the UK, and advising on national licensing and gambling regulation. In Brighton he was responsible with others for restoring the Birdcage Bandstand.

    Geoffrey’s vision for Brighton & Hove is a thriving, successful and buoyant City with excellent education and leisure facilities and fast and reliable transport links, particularly to and from London. A City whose residents can be proud of its appearance and a City that everyone wants to come and visit.
